Gold collar, National Museum of Ireland Archaeology
Tubular gold collar, Iron Age, from the Broighter Hoard found at Broighter, County Derry, in the National Museum of Ireland a" Archaeology, a branch of the National Museum Of Ireland, opened 1890, on Kildare St in Dublin, Ireland. The collar was found in Lough Foyle, which is associated with the sea god Manannan mac Lir. Its decoration includes a highly stylised horse, which is associated this god. Picture by Manuel Cohen
