Stems separated from the grapes, having been removed by a destemmer, at harvest time in September, at the vineyards of the Chateau de Javernand, run by Arthur Fourneau and Pierre Prost, at Chiroubles, in the Beaujolais wine growing area of Rhone, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France. The domaine was founded in 1917 by Auguste Faye, great grandfather of Arthur Fourneau, centred around an 18th century chateau with 50 hectares of vines. Picture by Manuel Cohen
