Grave of Jean Paul Sartre, 1905-80, French novelist and playwright, and Simone de Beauvoir, 1908-86, French philosopher and writer, in the Cimetiere de Montparnasse, or Montparnasse Cemetery, created 1824, in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, France. The cemetery holds 35, 000 plots and houses monuments to the Siege of Paris and the Commune, as well as a 17th century mill tower, the Moulin de la Charite. Picture by Manuel Cohen
