Village of Hierges in the Meuse valley on the Belgian border, aerial view, Ardennes, Grand Est, France. On the hill is the Chateau de Hierges, rebuilt 16th century in Renaissance style, with curtain walls and towers. Built on the site of a 9th century castle destroyed in the 12th century, the current chateau was begun in 1560. It is listed as a historic monument
