Hike, Viens, Provence, France
Woodland section of a hike from the rock slab with fossilised mammal footprints to the medieval village of Viens, in Vaucluse, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France. The rock slabs at Viens were formed from a lake bed 30 million years ago in the Cenozoic era, and were discovered in 1968. They form part of the Reserve Naturelle Geologique du Luberon.
