Jesus Christ praying in the Garden of Olives while the apostles sleep, painting, late 15th century, by Portuguese School, from the altarpiece of the Convento de Santa Clara, in the Museu Nacional de Machado de Castro, Coimbra, Portugal. The museum was opened in 1913 and renovated 2004-2012. The city of Coimbra dates back to Roman times and was the capital of Portugal from 1131 to 1255.
