Christ enthroned, showing his wounds from the crucifixion, flanked by 2 angels holding instruments of the Passion (spear, nails, cross), the Virgin and St John the Baptist, from the tympanum of the Last Judgment Portal, the central portal on the Western facade, built 1220-30, Notre Dame, Ile de la Cite, Paris, France. Angels watch from the surrounding archivolts. The portal represents the Last Judgment according to the Evangelist St Matthew.
