Khachkar or cross-stone, 13th century, with sculptured images and patterns around a crucifixion and the Harrowing of Hell, detail, in Surb Astvatsatsin or Holy Mother of God Church, part of the Sevanavank Monastery, founded 874 AD by Princess Mariam, beside Lake Sevan in Gegharkunik, Armenia.
