Kizlar Kaya, or Old Maiden's Rock, topped with a rock platform with Hittite stonework including platforms resembling altars, at Hattusa archaeological site, near Bogazkale, Corum, Anatolia, Turkey. Hattusa was the capital of the Hittite empire, built in the late Bronze Age from c. 1650 BC, on an older Chalcolithic settlement founded 6th millennium BC.
