Lafayette Temple, Musee de la Franc-Maconnerie
Temple 16, or Lafayette Temple, with flags used by Lafayette's troops during the French Revolution, in the Musee de la Franc-Maconnerie, or Museum of Freemasonry, opened 1889 in the Hotel du Grand Orient de France, the oldest freemasonic organisation in Europe, on the Rue Cadet in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, France. Lafayette, 1757-1834, was a marquis and politician, leader of the liberal party. The museum was renovated and reopened in 2010 and presents the history of freemasonry in France, with extensive archives. Picture by Manuel Cohen
