Mausoleo di Augusto, or Mausoleum of Augustus, a large tomb built by the Roman Emperor Augustus in 28 BC on the Campus Martius, Piazza Augusto Imperatore, Rome, Italy. The mausoleum is circular, with concentric rings of earth and brick, planted with cypresses and was possibly capped with a conical roof and statue of Augustus, with burial spaces below.
