Mausoleum of Theodoric, Ravenna, Italy
Mausoleo di Teodorico or Mausoleum of Theodoric, an Ostrogothic funerary building, built c. 520 AD by king Theodoric, in the necropolis area outside the city walls of Ravenna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The 2 storey building is decagonal and made from limestone blocks, with a single slab stone roof with 12 modillions. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
