Meditation Space, contemporary sculpture by Tadao Ando, b. 1941, commissioned by UNESCO in 1995 to symbolise peace and commemorate the 50th anniversary of UNESCO's Constitution, at the UNESCO Headquarters, or Maison de l'UNESCO, designed by Bernard Zehrfuss, Marcel Breuer and Pier Luigi Nervi and opened in 1958, at 7 Place de Fontenoy in the 7th arronidssement of Paris, France. The cylindrical, one-storey structure is paved with granite exposed to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on 6 August 1945 and is positioned at the end of the patio of the Japanese garden.
