Millennium Bridge, or the London Millennium Footbridge, a steel suspension pedestrian bridge built 1998-2000 over the river Thames, linking Tate Modern at Bankside with the City of London on the North bank, London, England, UK. Tate Modern, opened in 2000, is located in Bankside Power Station in Southwark, converted to a gallery space by Herzog and de Meuron, and houses the national collection of modern and contemporary art.
