Molen burial field, Vestfold, Norway
Molen burial mound, 1st century AD, containing the remains of a burned ship, at the Molen pebble beach, part of the Ra Moraine, deposited by a retreating glacier during the last Ice Age, at Molen on the Brunlanes peninsula, Vestfold, Norway. The Molen Burial Field contains 250 tombs including 4 large burial mounds, the oldest being Bronze Age, although most are Viking and Iron Age graves. Picture by Manuel Cohen
