Molen burial mounds, aerial view, at the Molen pebble beach, part of the Ra Moraine, deposited by a retreating glacier during the last Ice Age, at Molen on the Brunlanes peninsula, Vestfold, Norway. The Molen Burial Field contains 250 tombs including 4 large burial mounds, the oldest being Bronze Age, although most are Viking and Iron Age graves. The large ship shaped pebble mound shown here is 1st century AD and contained the remains of a burned ship. Picture by Manuel Cohen
