Monument to Marie-Dominique-Auguste Sibour, Cathedrale
Statue on the monument to Marie-Dominique-Auguste Sibour, 1792-1857, archbishop of Paris 1848-57, made 1868 by Paul Dubois, Joseph Lescorne and Joseph-Marius Ramus, in the Chapel of St Mary Magdalene, in the Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris, or Notre-Dame cathedral, built 1163-1345 in French Gothic style, on the Ile de la Cite in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, France. Sibour was assassinated at the Church of St Etienne du Mont, Paris, by a priest and is buried in the cathedral choir. Picture by Manuel Cohen
