Monumental staircase, Musee des Beaux Arts, Nice, France
Monumental staircase in the Musee des Beaux Arts de Nice, a fine arts museum was founded in 1928 as the Palais des Arts Jules Cheret, housed in a mansion built 1878 for Elizaveta Vasilievna Kochubey, in Nice, Provence, France. The staircase is crowned with a glass roof and adorned with paintings by Nicaise de Keyser. In the centre is The Kiss, sculpture by Auguste Rodin, plaster, c. 1927, after original of 1886.
