Triumph of Dionysos, mosaic, mid 4th century AD, in Room A or the triclinium of the House of Aion, a large Roman house at Paphos Archaeological Park, or Kato Pafos Archaeological Park, Paphos, Cyprus. The mosaic depicts 2 centaurs with flute and lyre, and a Maenad, accompanying the triumphal procession of Dionysos. On the left is a young satyr offering a plate of fruit. New Pafos was founded 4th century BC by king Nicocles and was the ancient capital of Cyprus from 2nd century BC. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
