Three Musketeers and d'Artagnan, monumental bronze sculpture, by Zurab Tsereteli, beside the Cathedral Saint-Pierre de Condom in Condom, or Condom-en-Armagnac, in Gers, Occitania, France. D'Artagnan, from The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas, was based on a real person, Charles de Batz-Castelmore, comte d'Artagnan, 1611-73, from nearby Lupiac, and introduced the local armagnac to Louis XIV in the book.
