The Neptunbrunnen or Neptune Fountain, built 1891 and designed by Reinhold Begas, with the god Neptune holding his trident surrounded by putti on top of his shell, Berlin, Germany. The fountain depicts Neptune, putti and mythological figures and 4 allegorical figures representing the 4 main rivers in Prussia. It is situated between the Marienkirche or St Mary's Church and the Rotes Rathaus or Red Town Hall. In the distance is the dome of the Berliner Dom or Berlin Cathedral, built 1905.
