Painted wooden box with scenes of the capture of Orange, French, c. 1200-25, in The Cloisters, a museum specialising in European medieval architecture, sculpture and decorative arts, part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, at Fort Tryon Park, Manhattan, New York, USA. The box depicts the adventures of William, count of Toulouse and a relative of Charlemagne, who became Saint Guilhem, founder of the monastery of Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert.
