Tomb of Clotilde de France in Naples, oil painting on canvas, by Jean-Pierre Franque, 1774-1860, in the Musee des Ursulines, an art and archaeology museum housed since 1968 in the former Ursulines convent, built 1675-80, in Macon, Saone-et-Loire, France. Marie Clotilde of France, 1759-1802, sister of king Louis XVI, was married to Charles Emmanuel IV of Sardinia, was buried in Santa Caterina a Chiaia in Naples, and was later venerated by the catholic church.
