Bilbao transporter bridge and Bilbao ferry, oil painting on canvas, 1898, by Manuel Amoros, in the Musee de la Marine de Loire, a museum celebrating the history of navigation, trade and life on the river Loire, opened 1961 in the stable block of the Chateau de Chateauneuf-sur-Loire, adapted from 1995 by Philippe Prost, Loiret, Centre-Val de Loire, France. The bridge was built 1893 across the Nervion at the port of Bilbao, connecting Portugalete and Las Arenas, by Ferdinand Arnodin and Alberto de Palacio. Picture by Manuel Cohen
