Soldiers waiting with empty bags for their bread allowance, and kissing the ground at the feet of Userhat, painting, on the south wall of the Tomb of Userhat, royal scribe and child of the royal nursery, TT56, 18th dynasty, New Kingdom, at Sheik Abd El-Korna, in the Valley of the Nobles, in the Theban Necropolis, Thebes, Luxor, Egypt. The Tombs of the Nobles are the burial sites of workers, priests, soldiers and officials. The site contains over 400 of rock cut tombs dating to the New Kingdom.
