Palazzo Lercari Parodi, Genoa, Italy

Facade of the Palazzo Lercari Parodi, or Palazzo Franco Lercari, built 1571-78 for banker and politician Franco Lercari, at 3 Via Garibaldi, in the Le Strade Nuove in Genoa, Liguria, Italy. The palace was sold to the Parodi family in 1845. The facade features a marble portal by Taddeo Carlone. The Strade Nuove or New Streets area, housing many palaces or Palazzi dei Rolli, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
