Palisade monument, erected 2013, marking the site of an ancient kite-shaped stockade surrounding and protecting the royal burial ground, 1440m long and over 3m high, 10th century, Viking, at Jelling Royal Necropolis, at Jelling, Vejle, Jutland, Denmark. The site consists of 2 10th century Viking burial mounds, 2 runestones erected by Harald Bluetooth and king Gorm, a medieval church built over the Viking church and an enormous ship setting.
