Palmito capital, Sinagoga del Agua, Ubeda, Jaen
Stone capital known as the Palmito, carved with a 7-branched palm frond, a Jewish symbol representing the menorah, 13th-14th century, in the Sinagoga del Agua, or Water Synagogue, Ubeda, Jaen, Andalusia, Spain. This recently discovered building is thought to be an 11th - 14th century synagogue, with yard, cellar, balcony, living room and mikveh, or Jewish ritual purification bath, fed by 7 connecting wells.
