The Gardens of the Partal, or Jardines del Partal, once a busy kitchen garden, and behind, the Tower of the Mihrab, or Torre del Mihrab, a former Nasrid oratory and a perimeter tower of the old Palacio del Partal, Alhambra Palace, Granada, Andalusia, Southern Spain. The Alhambra was begun in the 11th century as a castle, and in the 13th and 14th centuries served as the royal palace of the Nasrid sultans.
