Passerelle Alibert, a steel footbridge built 1860 in the Marais basin, between the Quai de Valmy and the Quai de Jemmapes, on the Canal Saint-Martin in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, France. Behind is the rotating road bridge, the Pont tournant de la rue Dieu. The Canal Saint-Martin is a 4.6km long waterway between the Canal de l'Ourcq and river Seine, built 1802-25 to provide a fresh water source to the city and provide a trade route for canal barges.
