Pazzi Chapel, commissioned by Andrea de Pazzi in 1423 and designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, 1377-1446, in Renaissance style, used as the Pazzi family chapel and the chapter house for the monks, in the Basilica di Santa Croce, or Basilica of the Holy Cross, a Franciscan church built 1294-1385, in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. In the cupola of the chancel is an astrological fresco. The historic centre of Florence is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
