Replica of a Pictish picture stone, 8th century, with carvings of 3 Picts in procession carrying spears, swords and shields, and symbols including bird and crescent, in the graveyard of the Norse church, built 12th century in Romanesque style, dedicated to St Peter, on the Brough of Birsay, a small uninhabited tidal island off Mainland, Orkney, Scotland. The Norse village was built over a Pictish settlement and consists of houses, longhouses, saunas and a church.
