Bartholdi fountain, 1889 by Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, with Marianne (France) on a chariot with the 4 rivers of France, and behind, Lyon City Hall, built 1646-72 in Baroque style, on the Place des Terreaux, Lyon, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France. The square was developed by Christian Drevet and Daniel Buren in 1994, with the addition of pillars and water jets. The centre of Lyon is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
