Pont Saint-Marcel, Canal du Midi, Le Somail, Aude, France
Canal du Midi and the Pont du Somail, or Pont Saint-Marcel, built 1674 and extended 1773, at Le Somail, a hamlet on the Cote du Midi, 15km north of Narbonne, Aude, Occitanie, France. The Canal du Midi was dug 1667-94 by Pierre-Paul Riquet, joining the Garonne to the Mediterranean. It is 150 miles long and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
