Portrait of Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin, widow of Baron Clicquot, 1777-1866, known as the Veuve Clicquot-Ponsardin, who managed the famous champagne house Veuve Clicquot, with her daughter and the Chateau de Boursault, painting, by Leon Cogniet, 1794-1880, in the Salle des Peintures, in the Chateau de Brissac, at Brissac Loire Aubance, Maine-et-Loire, Pays de la Loire, France. Originally built by Foulques Nerra, count of Anjou in the 11th century, the chateau has been the seat of the dukes of Brissac since the early 16th century.
