Portrait of Hortense de Beauharnais, 1787-1837, Queen of Holland, and her second son Napoleon-Louis, 1804-31, Prince of Holland, painted 1806-8 by Francois Gerard, 1770-1837, in the Musee National du Chateau de Fontainebleau, France. The Palace of Fontainebleau is one of the largest French royal palaces and was begun in the early 16th century for Francois I. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.
