Portrait thought to be Isabelle du Portugal, Duchesse de Bourgogne, or Isabella of Portugal, Duchess of Burgundy, 1397-1471, third wife of Philippe le Bon or Philip the Good, oil painting on wood, copy c. 1500 of an original c. 1430, from the collection of the Musee du Louvre, in the Musee des Beaux-Arts de Dijon, opened 1787 in the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy in Dijon, Burgundy, France. Isabella is pictured wearing a traditional Burgundian heart-shaped headdress, with clusters of pearls and gem stones set in a geometric pattern and a securing band under her ear to support the weight of the coif, which is also jewelled.
