Portrait of Jean Francois de Galaup, comte de Laperouse, 1741-88, French naval officer and explorer, commissioned by his nephew, in the Malouiniere de la Ville Bague, built 1710-15 by Simeon Garangeau, for shipowner Guillaume Eon of the Eon de la VIllebague family, at Saint-Coulomb, Ille-et-Villaine, Brittany, France.
