Portrait of Marie-Louise, Duchess of Parma, second wife of Napoleon I, 1791-1847, in state dress, painted 1812 by the studio of Francois Gerard, 1770-1837, in the Musee National du Chateau de Fontainebleau, France. The Palace of Fontainebleau is one of the largest French royal palaces and was begun in the early 16th century for Francois I. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.
