Portrait of Honore de Balzac, 1799-1850, French author and playwright, oil painting on canvas, by Louis Candide Boulanger, 1806-67, in the Musee des Beaux Arts de Tours, a fine arts museum founded 1801, and housed since 1910 in the archbishop's palace on the Place Francois Sicard in Tours, Indre-et-Loire, France.
