Detail of a portrait of the wife of Dunash Ben Labrat, 920-990, Jewish scholar and poet, by Jose Luis Munoz, b. 1969, in graphite, charcoal, tempera, acrylic, gold leaf and oil on wood, in the Centro Cultural y Museo Casa de Sefarad, a museum and cultural centre opened 2006 in the Jewish quarter of Cordoba, Andalusia, Southern Spain. A manuscript of poetry has been discovered attributed to this unnamed woman, thought to be the earliest example of medieval Spanish poetry written by a woman.
