Pottery vessel found inside a burial cairn containing an offering of food for the dead, c. 5000 BC, excavated in 1863 by men working for Canon Greenwell at Nether Largie South Cairn, a Neolithic chambered cairn at Kilmartin Glen, from the collection of the British Museum, in Kilmartin Museum, reopened 2023, in Kilmartin, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The museum interprets the prehistoric monuments of Kilmartin Glen, which features over 350 monuments including cairns, standing stones, stone circles, forts, castles and rock carvings from Neolithic times to the Bronze Age.
