TOLEDO, SPAIN - APRIL 12 : A view from the front of the Puerta del Perdon of the Cathedral, on April 12, 2006 in Toledo, Spain. The Gothic portal was sculpted in 1418-50, and bears a tympanum relief by Juan Aleman showing the Virgin Mary handing a vestment to the patron Saint of Toledo, Ildefonso. The portal is surrounded by sculptures of saints.The Cathedral was built between 1226 and 1493. Toledo is a former capital of Spain, and cultural centre where Jews, Muslims and Christians co-existed.
