Christ in majesty, with Christ in a mandorla blessing and holding a gospel, with inscription IHC and an angel, relief, marble, late 11th century, found in the Church of St Vitus in Klis, in the Archaeological Museum, founded 1820, in Split, Croatia. Split was founded as a Greek colony in 3rd century BC, was the seat of Roman emperor Diocletian from 305 AD and was later ruled by Byzantines, Venetians and Dalmatians.
