Cupids harvesting grapes with a goat, relief, detail from Roman marble sarcophagus, 260-270 AD, made in Attica and exported to Salona, now Solin, in the Archaeological Museum, founded 1820, in Split, Croatia. The sarcophagus is in couch or kline form with drapery and lion's paw feet. Split was founded as a Greek colony in 3rd century BC, was the seat of Roman emperor Diocletian from 305 AD and was later ruled by Byzantines, Venetians and Dalmatians.
