Samson welcomed by the people of Dol when he arrives from Wales, detail of the pulpit, carved in oak in 1898 by the workshop of Augerie de Vitre and commissioned by Francois-Joseph Turmel, in the Cathedral Saint-Samson, begun in the 13th century on the site of an older church and completed in the 18th century, in Dol-de-Bretagne, Brittany, France. The cathedral is dedicated to one of the founding saints of Brittany and until 1801 was the seat of the archbishopric of Dol. Picture by Manuel Cohen
