Relief, Temple of Khonsu, Karnak Temple, Thebes, Luxor
Khonsu with falcon head and moon disc, and king offering lotus flowers, relief on the east wall of the sanctuary, in the Temple of Khonsu, built 20th dynasty under Ramesses II, c. 1184-1153 BC, New Kingdom, in the Karnak Temple Complex, Karnak, Thebes, Luxor, Egypt. The temple includes a pylon, courtyard, hypostyle hall, barque shrine, sanctuary and chapels. Karnak was developed c. 2055 BC - 100 AD, from the Middle Kingdom to the Ptolemaic Kingdom and most of the buildings date to the New Kingdom, dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut and Khonsu.
