Riva, Split, Croatia

Riva or waterfront promenade and boats moored in the harbour, at Split, Croatia. In the centre is the bell tower of the Holy Arnir. Split was founded as a Greek colony in 3rd century BC, was the seat of Roman emperor Diocletian from 305 AD and was later ruled by Byzantines, Venetians and Dalmatians.
