River Arno, with (left-right), the Ponte Vecchio, a medieval stone bridge of shops built 1345, the Vasari Corridor, built in 1565 by Giorgio Vasari to connect the Palazzo Vecchio with the Palazzo Pitti, the Ufizzi Gallery and the Galileo Museum, in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. The Galleria degli Uffizi was begun by Giorgio Vasari in 1560 for Cosimo I de Medici and completed by Alfonso Parigi and Bernardo Buontalenti in 1581.
