Rock art, Mitla Caves, Oaxaca, Mexico
Fish carved into the wall of a prehistoric rock shelter used over 12, 000 years ago by settler farmers, part of the Las Cuevas Prehistoricas de Yagul y Mitla archaeological site at San Pablo Villa de Mitla in the Tlacolula Valley, Oaxaca, Mexico. There are over 115 caves in this area, some of which feature rock art, archaeological remains and evidence of agriculture. The area is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture by Manuel Cohen
